Kelley & Young 2007 Sauvignon Blanc
We are so happy to announce the second release of the Kelley & Young Sauvignon Blanc. A crisp and elegant wine that exhibits flavors of ripe grapefruit, honey melon and apricot. It’s long lasting vanilla and lemon crème finish seems endless. The grapes for this wine were grown at Robert Young Vineyards, hand-picked then cold fermented in stainless steel. The addition of new French oak for just 2 months gives added body and mouth feel as well as creamy vanilla on the finish. We bottled this wine on April 28th and then bottle aged it a little over 6 months before release.

Here’s what the Bounty Hunter has to say . . .
“Apparently no one told these guys that you can’t make white Bordeaux in Sonoma County. Wow! Intense citrus and green apple fruits with a little whiff of earth and the sort of mid-palate minerality that you just don’t see much in the New World. This is a side project from the family who runs the Robert Young estate, and their farming credentials are well-earned. They know that great wine starts with great fruit, and they get to circle the bases with this one.” |
